Native/adapted to the central and western United States and Canada; short lived perennial; grows to 4’; adapted to a broad range of soils, including moist and dry soil conditions; re-seeds readily, provides excellent soil stabilization due to high seedling vigor; moderate shade tolerance; bluish-gray hue on stems and leaves.

Drill seeded to 1" at 12–15 pounds PLS/acre. 110,000 seeds/pound. Germination in 21 days.
